White marble moon over a mercury sea;
Slow swinging swell on the ocean free:
The bow of the ship is homeward bound,
Homeward bound, the engines sound.

Warm clear night of infinite space;
Grey-etched clouds pass glittering stars;
The ocean's clear mercurial face,
Streaked with shadows of cloud-thrown bars:
